The weather has turned extreme. It is getting cold, raining and today it was blowing a gale. All the warm weather gear was on not for the 10 degree temperatures, but the wind chill factor. As is almost customary now, Joel lead early up the Belmore hills. The traffic lights brought the group together, and it was Michael who went early on to put the first points on the board. He was confident on Elgar, even waited on the top flat section to offer a shield from the head wind but Joel could not maintain contact and this is where Andy blasted off and held the lead for the win.

Doncaster hill had an unexpected turn of events with Joel giving up the rest of the ride claiming his pager had gone off. In super human fashion, he turned at the top of the hill and rode solo to save the mail server, what a clever fellow, God bless him. Andy took advantage of the commotion, avoided the traffic at the hill point by winning via the footpath. Now it was mano-a-mano, man on man, for the rest of the ride. Andy made another smart move to take out the Maningham sprint and leave the score 3 all with 2 more points up for grabs. Alex showed up for the final sprint but his 4 wheels were no match for our 2. Andy caught Michael's back wheel into the final corner but Michael held him off. The presence of Alex giving Andy an extra point for coming second
